The Making Of Harry Potter

DSC00657There was no blog post yesterday. So it’s not missing or lost! I just decided not to post about the day due to it being very relaxed. Anyway!

Oh my goodness! I have to say this was one of the BEST days of the trip so far. I went to Warner Brother Studios to visit their Harry Potter tour. It was all about the making of the films and it really focused on the behind the scenes. There were real props, head pieces, costumes that Emma Watson had worn…oh my god yes! It was brilliant.

I am a massive fan of Harry Potter and looking at how it was made, the detail into EVERYTHING and just seeing the sets like the Great Hall was like christmas, and the christmas after that, came early.

It started off with a ten minute film and then walking into THE great hall they used in the films. It was a self guided tour that took about 2-3 hours. It was quite expensive but if you love Harry Potter like I do…so worth it!

I’m just getting so excited!DSC00636

The tour involved seeing how they filmed Quidditch, the Gryffindor common room set, Hagrid’s hut, the potions room and so much more! They also had butter beer which was awesome!

But! Even though everything was so surreal at the very end of the tour there was something waiting which was the highlight of the tour. It is a model of Hogwarts, so detailed and brilliant. It was the model they used in the films. I have included a photo of it but it can’t compare to seeing it in person.

When it ended I was quite upset, I wanted to do it all over again! I did buy some merchandise which I do not regret getting. Then caught the shuttle bus and train back to London.

In the future I will hopefully create a short video of all the footage I got while I was there- so look out for that!
